Texas SMOAK Initiatives
Scholarship Program
The Texas SMOAK scholarship program was created to support high school seniors in their endeavors to pursue post-secondary education. Our goal has been to honor the families and students who have put their communities first through acts of service and accomplished academic records. Our scholarship is open every spring and we look to help students with the burdensome costs of completing high school and making the transition to college, military or trade school. If you know a high school senior who is interested in our scholarship, please visit this page when the scholarship is available each January and February. The award recipients are recognized each year at BBQ Austin in March.

Adopt-a-Family
Through our partnership with churches and local schools, Texas SMOAK selects 3 to 5 families every Christmas season to support with gifts for all the children and a hearty meal for them to share together. If you know of a family that could use the support, please contact us. If you would like to donate specifically to this cause, please click on the donate button and send us a message.

BBQ Austin
BBQ Austin is a scholarship fundraiser for Rodeo Austin. Texas SMOAK also competes each year against 200+ teams from around the country in one of the best events in Austin. Each year we serve free samples to 2000+ attendees and we raise money for the Rodeo Austin youth programs. This is our biggest event and we hope to see you the first weekend of March of every year.
